I was born and raised in Burton-on-Trent, a small brewing town in the Midlands, UK. I began boxing at the age of 11 in my local club, and I have learned many life lessons from the sport since then; to follow your dreams, always work hard, work smart and listen to the right people.
Boxing is my passion; it has made me grow into the person I am today and given me opportunities I wouldn’t have otherwise had. I have been a proud member of Team GB and have represented GB Boxing for over a decade with immense pride. To finally qualify and win a bronze medal at the Tokyo Olympic Games was one of the greatest moments of my career.
I have competed at all levels of the game, winning national titles and fighting at the highest level as an amateur. I’ve fought in world championships, European championships, the commonwealth games, the World Series of Boxing (WSB), and of course… the Olympic Games. To represent my country has been an honour.
THE FIGHT OUTSIDE OF THE RING
THE FIGHT OUTSIDE OF THE RING
In 2018 I formed a partnership with 3Spires Safety (Health & Safety Consultants) as they supported me in my bid to win Commonwealth gold in Australia. This goal was achieved in April of that year when I scooped gold in the super heavyweight boxing category.
It became clear through this successful partnership that 3Spires Safety and I shared further common goals and passionate interests about the environment and how best to tackle the impending threat of climate change. To this extent, we are now promoting the Cool Earth charity foundation and have a keen interest in The Queen’s Green Canopy project; in the UK.
We plan to promote, educate and encourage local communities to get involved in our environmental initiatives. We encourage everyone to donate to our fight outside of the ring! Let’s all fight climate change together.
Contributing on our donation page is an effective way to push for climate change action, and as a result, take on the most significant issue of our generation. Please help us and our partners in the quest to reverse Co2 emissions by 2030 by sharing our story and donating to our cause.
